This special issue of Sustainability seeks to bridge t he gap between disaster risk reduction (DRR) and sustainability in the dis course and implementation of disaster prevention and response. Authors are invited to reconsider the impact of policies\, initiatives\, projects\, a nd other efforts aimed at building resilience by focusing on their sustain ability over time\, their impacts on communities and stakeholders\, locali sing the global frameworks\, and identifying gaps beyond the post-2030 glo bal agendas.
