Paul Goldberger to participate in av福利社 Conference - Registration Opens Jan 3
Paul Goldberger, Pulitzer Prize–winning author and contributing editor at Vanity Fair magazine, will be involved in two events at the av福利社 Conference in Buffalo, NY. Goldberger will deliver the plenary address at the av福利社 awards ceremony, on The Public Responsibility of Architectural History, in the Common Council Chambers of Buffalo’s Art Deco City Hall and will also participate in the roundtable discussion on the future of development in Buffalo. .

Deadline for Woolworth Study Day Fellowship Applications Extended
The deadline for the  fellowship has been extended to January 15, 2013. This study day on March 22, 2013 in New York City features a curator-led tour of the Skyscraper Museum's exhibition, "Woolworth at 100,"  as well as a tour of Cass Gilbert's buildings in lower Manhattan led by Andrew Dolkart and Gail Fenske. .

av福利社 Awards Gala raises over $65,000
av福利社 inaugurated three Awards for Architectural Excellence at the Awards Gala on November 10th, in Chicago. . The evening represented a unique coming together of the architectural and academic communities to honor these outstanding individuals for their work. Over $65,000 was raised to support av福利社's ongoing mission, including restoration of the Charnley-Persky House. .
   
Upcoming Fellowship Deadlines - 
av福利社ARA Travel Fellowship: Seven av福利社ARA Travel Fellowships will be awarded in 2013 to document the global built environment for teaching and research. These Fellowships will provide reimbursement of up to $1,500 for travel anywhere in the world. These Travel Fellowships have been funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Deadline for applications is January 1, 2013

HABS-av福利社 Sally Kress Tompkins Fellowship: The Sally Kress Tompkins Fellowship, a joint program of av福利社 and HABS, permits an architectural historian to work on a 12-week HABS project during the summer of 2013. The 2013 Sally KressTompkins/HABS award includes a $10,000 stipend. The deadline has been extended to December 31, 2012

Charles E. Peterson Fellowship of the Buildings of the United States and the Athenaeum of Philadelphia: In a joint program with the Athenaeum of Philadelphia, av福利社 is pleased to offer an annual fellowship that supports the participation of a graduate student in the research and writing for a volume in the Buildings of the United States series. The fellowship grant of $2,000 will be contingent upon the recipient's completion of the project, which is expected to require no more than 100 hours of work. Deadline for applications is January 2, 2013.
