  Annual Conference Registration Deadlines & Dates
Reduced early registration rates for the 2014 Annual Conference will last until February 15, and rates will increase on February 16, 2014. Tours-only registration opens on February 16 for those wishing to purchase tour tickets without registering for the full conference. Some tours have already sold out so register soon to get the tours of your choice. .

  Save the Date for av福利社 in Paris: A Fundraiser at the Elusive Maison de Verre, July 11-12
Mark your calendars now to join av福利社 on July 11–12 for an unforgettable experience at Maison de Verre in Paris. Twenty-five people will have the pleasure of enjoying a light supper in the house of glass, lunch in its garden, good French wine, and conversation with fellow friends of architecture, while beholding the magnificent light that filters through the iconic glass-brick walls. Generously hosted by owner and former av福利社 board member Robert Rubin and curator Mary Vaughan Johnson, this two-day event promises to be a uniquely social and experiential gathering at the architectural wonder that is Maison de Verre. In addition, guests will also visit two other modernist masterpieces: Alvar Aalto's Maison Louis Carré in Bazoches-sur-Guyonne and Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye in Poissy. .

  Denys Peter Myers, Monuments Man

Denys Peter Myers, a Harvard Fine Arts graduate and one of the founding members—and a Fellow—of av福利社, was working as director of exhibitions at the New York Public Library when he was drafted into the Army in 1943. Through a chance meeting with one of its officers, Peter was transferred in to the Army's Monuments, Fine Arts and Archives section, the subject of the book The Monuments Men by Robert Edsel and now a movie. .

The Bank of Canada’s garden and atrium in Ottawa, situated in a building between Canada’s first retail pedestrian mall and the federal institutional landscape, provide a welcoming public space in Canada’s capital city and exemplify architect Arthur Erickson’s skill as a maker of interior and exterior landscapes. The 12,749 square-foot atrium is now at risk of privatization and the garden threatened with destruction. .

Charnley-Persky House Among House Museums in the At Home in Chicago Network
The Charnley-Persky House is part of , a consortium of more than 20 historic house museums in and around Chicago. At Home in Chicago exists as a hub of information about the region's house museums, to encourage the exploration of common threads connecting these diverse places, and to promote a broad range of available resources. The project is generously funded by the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts and participating house museum of At Home in Chicago.
 
ACLS Public Fellows Program 
The American Council of Learned Societies invites applications for the fourth competition of the Public Fellows program. The program will place 20 recent humanities Ph.D.s in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sector. This career-launching initiative aims to demonstrate that the capacities developed in the advanced study of the humanities have wide application, both within and beyond the academy. .

(Croatia Study Tour): Funded by the Scott Opler Endowment for New Scholars, this fellowship is offered to allow a graduate student or emerging scholar to participate in av福利社 Study Tours. Deadline February 22.
