The Society of Architectural Historians seeks nominations and self-nominations for our Chapters Liaison. This ex-officio position on the av福利社 Board represents and supports the work of the av福利社 chapters. In accordance with the Bylaws, the Chapters Liaison serves a three-year, renewable term and the President of av福利社 will make the appointment.
To submit a nomination or self-nomination, please complete the av福利社 Chapters Liaison form in the . Nominations will be confidentially compiled in the av福利社 office and shared with the President of the Society, Victoria Young, to make the appointment in consultation with the av福利社 Officers. The nomination form requests the following information: name and email address of the nominator; the name, affiliation (if applicable), email address and phone number for the candidate; the candidate’s statement of qualifications for this position in a statement of no more than 500 words, and confirmation that the nominator has reached out to the nominee to ask if they will serve. Also attach the nominee’s CV. The nominee’s statement should address their interest in the position, qualifications, and ideas for future chapter-related offerings as well potential collaborations with the national av福利社. Candidates must be a member of the international av福利社 to hold this position.
av福利社 is actively working towards creating a more equitable organizational structure, one that is inclusive and whose leadership represents the wide range of perspectives in the field of architectural history at large. To that end, av福利社 welcomes the nominations and self-nominations of candidates who will add racial and ethnic diversity to av福利社 leadership; those who are working outside the tenure track, including contingent faculty; and those who are working outside the academy.
